Clinical Haematology & Bone marrow Transplantation

Definition : A Haematologist  (or Hematologist in US spelling) is a Blood specialist.  Blood specialists are trained in the diagnosis and treatment of blood diseases, including malignant blood disorders such as leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplasia, myeloproliferative neoplasms, and non-malignant blood disorders such as autoimmune thrombocytopaenia (ITP) and aplastic anaemia.
Bone marrow transplantation is a medical procedure which includes autologous and allogeneic bone marrow & peripheral blood stem cell transplantation.
